Known by everyone as Ron Weasley in “Harry Potter”, actor Rupert Grint has become the father of a little girl. He and his girlfriend, actress Georgia Groome, tried to keep the pregnancy as discreet as possible but were beaten by the paparazzi in mid-April.
The news of the birth of the baby was offered to the public by the representatives of the two in a short press release:
“Rupert Grint and Georgia Groome are delighted to confirm the birth of their little girl, and will soon reveal the little girl’s name.”
In the short announcement, the representatives also request “respect for privacy at this very special time.”
The two remain as discreet as when the sacrament of Georgia was also confirmed by a representative:
“Rupert Grint and Georgia Groome are pleased to announce that they are expecting a baby and are asking for your privacy at this time.”
Grint, 31, and actress Groome, 28, best known for her roles in “London to Brighton,” and “Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging,” have been together since 2011.
The actress’s pregnancy was revealed on Thursday when the couple was caught by the paparazzi while going shopping for supplies. Grint became known at the age of 11 when he was cast as Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter series. Since then, he has appeared in several movies and TV shows, including the sitcom “Sick Note”.
