Actors Donald Glover and Phoebe Waller-Bridge will star in the series “Mr. and Mrs. Smith ”, a spinoff of the 2005 feature film of the same name starring Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.
The series will be made by New Regency and Amazon Prime Video and is scheduled to be released in 2022.
Glover, known for “The Martian” and “Guava Island”, and Waller-Bridge, known for “Fleabag”, awarded six Emmy Awards, will also be executive producers. The two actors played together in “Solo: A Star Wars Story”.
Francesca Sloane will be the showrunner of the series.
Doug Liman’s 2005 film was a box office success, grossing approximately $ 500 million worldwide.
