Heigl will perform the role of Tully Hart, an ambitious and extraordinarily loyal woman. Tully and Kate, who are at the heart of the story, have known since childhood when they became inseparable friends. For 30 years, they shared good and bad. However, treason separates them.
The actress will be the executive producer of the show alongside Stephanie Germain and Lee Rose.
Maggie Friedman (“Dawson’s Creek”, “Witches of East End”, “No Tomorrow”) will write the script and produce the ten episodes.
Writer Kristin Hannah will be an executive co-producer.
Peter O’Fallon will be the director and executive producer of the first episode.
“Firefly Lane” is the third adaptation of a novel written by Hannah after “The Nightingale” and “The Great Alone” by TriStar Pictures.
