The major success achieved by Maleficent brought Angelina Jolie back to the attention of the fans, after a short break from acting in which she devoted herself to her directorial projects. The role of the Marvel Eternals movie, recently confirmed, keeps the actress in the blockbuster area of the company. In an interview with MTV, she acknowledged that she would like a role in the Star Wars franchise as well.
Jolie said she mentioned this to director J.J. Abrams, however, has no idea what role he would play in the famous series. She added that, for now, she’s excited to be part of the Marvel family; praised the way the Marvel Cinematic Universe evolved and put its huge success on the “genius” of producer and company president Kevin Feige.
The Eternals – introduced by the comics released in 1976 – are a race of super-humans, almost without death, creating ultra-powerful divine entities, the Celestial, in one of their visits to Earth. But from the genetic experiments of the Celestials, Deviants are born, the monstrous creature, with infinite contempt for the Eternals and the human race on Earth.
The movie Eternals will be directed by ChloƩ Zhao and will include Salma Hayek and Richard Madden in the distribution, along with Jolie. The launch will take place on November 6, 2020. Angelina Jolie will return this year (October 18 to us) in Maleficent: Mistress of Evil.
