Famous Arnold Schwarzenegger (73) will star in a Netflix spy series, marking his first major involvement in a television project.

Although some time ago there were rumors about ‘Outrider’, a western series made by Amazon in which the actor was to appear, this eight-episode spy series commissioned by Netflix is his first large-scale production for the small screen.

The series, which has Arnold Schwarzenegger as generic and as executive producer, does not yet have a title, but it is already known that it will have Monica Barbaro (30 years old) in the main female role. The young actress debuted in the series “Hawaii 5.0” (2010), then starred in the series “Chicago P.D.” (2014), ‘UnREAL’ (2015), and ‘Deadly Weapon’ (2016). She starred opposite another great star, Tom Cruise, in the highly anticipated “Top Gun: Maverick.”

Monica Barbaro will play in the future Netflix series the daughter of the character played by Arnold Schwarzenegger. The creator of the series is the screenwriter Nick Santora, who has active series such as “Prison Break” (2005), “FBI” (2018), with Missy Peregrym and Connie Nielsen, but also the recent production “Most Dangerous Game” (2020), with Liam Hemsworth and Christoph Waltz. He created and developed the project of this series together with Skydance TV before releasing it on the streaming market.

The new story that will be seen on Netflix has as the main characters a father (Arnold Schwarzenegger) and a daughter (Monica Barbaro). They find out about each other that they have been working secretly as CIA agents for years and realize that their whole relationship was a lie and that they never really knew each other. Forced to work together as partners in a new mission, they manage to establish a much stronger bond than they have ever had. The series humorously talks about the universal problems that most families face, and the background full of espionage, secrets, and impressive visual effects is reminiscent of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s great success “True Lies” (1994). The actor played in this excellent comedy the role of a secret agent whom his wife (Jamie Lee Curtis) considered a bland and bland official until they were both involved in a dangerous mission.
