The movie still has two weeks until launch, and tickets have already been sold in most territories. In the United States, the online ticketing platform Fandango posted on Twitter his Twitter account that the number of tickets sold at Endgame in the first week (since April 2) was five times higher than that recorded by Infinity War over the same period.
As in many US cinemas the tickets were exhausted for the hours displayed, visionaries were introduced even at less ordinary hours – after midnight, until 6am. According to Fandango, Endgame “holds the absolute record for first day and first week sales, surpassing Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”
“I would not be surprised to have a record number of fans get off duty on Friday, April 26th, to be able to attend the premiere of Avengers: Endgame,” wrote Fandango’s chief editor. And Other Ticket Platforms in the United States reported record numbers for Endgame – Atom Tickets noted that the movie sold twice as many tickets as they did in the first week of sale Aquaman, Star Wars: The Last Jedi , Avengers: Infinity War and Captain Marvel together.
It is estimated that Avengers: Endgame will have a debut of about $750-900 million in the US box office and will reach an international total of between $2.2 billion and $3 billion, with the chance to dethrone the Avatar from top productions with the highest earnings in history.
