CBS decided on the fall grid for 2019/2020, so alongside Young Sheldon, Criminal Minds, NCIS, the station’s representatives decided to renew with new seasons and for the Hawaii Five-0 (S10) , SEAL Team (S3), SWAT (S3), Madam Secretary (S6), MacGyver (S4) and Bull (S4). In spite of its low ratings and recently announced changes in distribution, MacGyver will come back from autumn with new episodes.
Even though this season also recorded steady ratings and was a good performer for CBS, Bull’s decision is also surprising, the series being in a shadow after the sexual harassment scandal early in the year even the protagonist Michael Weatherly. Following this CBS decision, Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Television withdrew from the project for the new season – Spielberg alongside Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey have been executive producers since the debut of the show.
The six titles are listed on the list next to NCIS’s NCIS announcements: Los Angeles, NCIS: New Orleans, Blue Bloods, God Friended Me, Magnum P.I., FBI, Mom, Young Sheldon, The Neighborhood. Renewed with a new and last season 15, there is also the psychological-procedural drama Criminal Minds, which will end in the end of this year.
CBS still has a decision on the titles of Life in Pieces, Man with a Plan, Fam, Murphy Brown, The Code, The Red Line, and Instinct.
