Sylvester Stallone’s 1986 action film – a classic of the genre – could become TV series. The star revealed in an interview with SlashFilm.com at the Cannes Film Festival that there is already a plan to turn it into a serial.

“The movie started from” What if Bruce Springsteen had a gun? “” It was as if rock and roll had met the drama. We should have started a franchise because the character was very loud! But I screwed up. My personal life has messed up things. But we are now trying to revitalize the production, turning it into a TV serial for a streaming channel. Let’s get the band out of the zombies! I have nothing to do in distribution, but the idea is really good, “he explained.

With a scenario imagined by Stallone and directed by George P. Cosmatos, the film was inspired by Paula Gosling’s Fair Game novel. Stallone used more of the script parts he had prepared for Beverly Hills Cop and was rejected by the Paramount studio (extracting the humor).

The centerpiece of the action is lieutenant Marion “Cobra” Cobretti, a member of the elite division of the Zombie Band, determined to eliminate the ultra-violent “New World” grouping. The film was notable for the box office. It has earned $ 160 million in cash, with a production budget of 25 million.
