The launch of the new X-Men, Dark Phoenix, in the United States has failed to reach even the estimated number of analysts and has brought the worst debut series, but also the most negative chronics (only 23% of critic reviews are appreciative on rottentomatoes.com, and on IMDB.com the movie received the note 6.1).

According to boxofficemojo.com, the film earned $ 33 million, below the expected minimum. Thus, its earnings are lower than that of The Wolverine (2013) – $ 53 million. Internationally, the film reached 140 million dollars, with a production budget of 200 million dollars (excluding marketing costs, which adds about 150 million dollars).

Deadpool and Deadpool 2 had the best debut in the US – 132.4, respectively 125.5 million dollars. The ranking is followed by X-Men: The Last Stand (102.7 million), X-Men: Days of Future Past (90.8 million), X2 (85.5 million), Logan -Men Origins: Wolverine (85 million), X-Men: Apocalypse (65.7 million) and the two titles above.

Dark Phoenix’s action is set in 1992, nine years after the events in X-Men: Apocalypse.
