Dracula - Netflix

A few weeks after the announcement that puts Claes Bang in the role of the new Dracula, the distribution begins to catch up with actors John Heffernan and Dolly Wells, newly announced as part of the project. The cast also includes Joanna Scanlan, Morfydd Clark and Lujza Richter. For now there is no information about the characters they interpreted.

Filming is scheduled for early spring, with the new series being composed of three episodes of 90 minutes each. Written and created by Steven Moffat in collaboration with Mark Gatiss and inspired by Bram Stoker’s classic story, the miniseries will bring attention to Dracula’s universe, the vampire who has done evil to look sexy. In Transylvania in 1897, blood-thirsty counts prepare his evil plot against London Victorian.

John Heffernan is a well-known audience of British projects, with titles such as Collateral, The Loch, Dickensian, Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell, Ripper Street and others, while Dolly Wells can be associated with roles from the little screen in Dolls & Em’s, Blunt Talk or even Room 104.

The series will premiere BBC One in the UK and Netflix in the regions where the service is present. BBC Studios Distribution, which brokered the deal with Netflix for Hartswood Films, is the international distributor.
