The stars of the series “Friends”, who have not met on the set of filming for 16 years, will postpone the moment of review. The HBO Max platform, which was supposed to record a special episode of the famous sitcom next week, has postponed the project until May due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Online streaming of this episode is planned with the launch of the HBO Max platform, whose date, set in May, has not yet been announced.

In a statement released in February, HBO Max stated that this reunion will not be a new fictional episode, but a non-scripted project and a “celebration of this adorable series”, during which the actors will meet to discuss. A rare date: Courteney Cox revealed that she and her bandmates had only seen each other twice since 2004, when filming ended.

For $ 425 million over five years, HBO Max bought the rights to 236 episodes of “Friends” (1994-2004) to turn it into a major platform product, becoming the most-watched series on Netflix in 2018.

The new project will be directed by Ben Winston, who will also be executive producer along with the series’ executive producers, Kevin Bright, Marta Kauffman, and David Crane.
