Marvel didn’t include Guardians of the Galaxy 3 in the fourth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but that doesn’t mean that the expected sequel production has been postponed. Even though he is missing from the schedule of films scheduled for 2020-2021, actor Sean Gunn mentioned in a recent comment that the movie could start shooting in the latter part of next year.
“We are now working on setting the date when we start production,” Kraglin interpreter (in Rocket Racoon motion capture). “Things are moving pretty slowly, but I’m super excited. It will be fun. I don’t know when exactly, but the shooting is coming, ”he said.
Earlier rumors indicated for the launch of GoG 3 in 2022. A Marvel source even mentioned that the movie will debut this year alongside Black Panther 2, marking the start of the fifth phase of the MCU. The information provided by Sean Gunn is also supported by the mention made by Kevin Feige, Marvel’s president, at San Diego Comic-Con, where he said the development of the Guardians of the Galaxy 3 project has begun.
