Jason Momoa, the star of Aquaman, will be collaborating with Netflix on a revenge thriller, in which he will star, but also be a producer. It will be the star’s second collaboration with the popular streaming platform, after the Frontier series.
According to Variety.com, the movie will be called Sweet Girl. Momoa will play the role of the husband eager to avenge the death of his life partner, trying to protect his daughter at the same time. No other details about the script or distribution are known yet.
Brian Andrew Mendoza (Frontier’s producer) will be at the helm of the movie, following a screenplay by Gregg Hurwitz and Philip Eisner.
Momoa is now shooting the drama SF See for Apple’s streaming service (Apple TV +), set in a dystopian universe, in which all people are born blind. We’ll see him next year in the new movie Dune, where he will play Duncan Idaho. He will return as king of the seas and oceans in Aquaman 2 only in December 2022.
