Jennifer Lawrence will star in “Mob Girl,” adaptation after the book written by Teresa Carpenter


Oscar-winning Lawrence for “Silver Linings Playbook” (2012) will also be the producer of the film based on the life of Arlyne Brickman, a mafia wife who became a police informant.

The Italian film, known for the Oscar-winning “La Grande Belleza” category, will be directed by Angelina Burnett and will be a producer.

The actress, who recently starred in “Dark Phoenix,” is currently working on “Untitled Soldier Film,” starring Lila Neugebauer, on her debut album.

Sorrentino recently released the Loro, Silvio Berlusconi, and is in post-production with The New Pope, with Jude Law and John Malkovich in distribution.

American actor Teresa Carpenter is the author of the novel Without A Doubt (1997), written by Marcia Clark, New York Times bestseller, Missing Beauty (1988) and The Miss Stone Affair (2003). The articles she wrote in Village Voice in 1980 were rewarded with Pulitzer in the Feature Writing category. The volume of memoirs by Arlyne Brickman, “Mob Girl: A Woman’s Life in the Underworld,” appeared in 1992.
