Game of Thrones star Kit Harington will become part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the D23 Expo Convention announced today in Anaheim, California.
Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige has proposed joining The Eternals, which includes a heavyweight cast: Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek, Richard Madden, Brian Tyree Henry, Kumail Nanjiani, Lauren Ridloff, and Don Lee. It will be interesting to see Kit Harrington reuniting on screen with his “brother” from the War of Thrones, Richard Madden, in The Eternals. Last time I saw Jon Snow, Harington’s character, go to the wilds from North of the Wall, after killing Daenerys, which the fans of the series were saddled with, in fact, most of the fans were just as angry as the producers preferred to end the series.
The D23 Expo, currently running in Anaheim, California, has been the source of many news from Disney studios, and Kit Harrington’s inclusion in the MCU is one of the most exciting. Feige also confirmed the presence of actress Gemma Chan in the role of Sersi, a member of The Eternals. The movie will be released on November 2020.
In the comics, the Eternals are a group of aliens with superpowers, which were created millions of years ago from the AND of old people. Although they resemble ordinary people, they have uncommon abilities such as extreme force, flight ability, teleportation, mind control, shape change, and energy projection. Although the comics are about dozens of The Eternals members, the film will focus on Sersi and Ikaris
The feature film Black Widow is already in production and we are waiting for news from the set, and other upcoming Marvel projects are Thor: Love and Thunder, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
