Chicago Fire - Chicago MED - Chicago PD

Dick Wolf’s shooting platters for the Chicago series appear to be once again tumultuous about major changes in distribution, the time of Sophia Bush and Monica Raymund’s departure seeming to be just the beginning. After the officials confirmed that the protagonists of the Chicago Fire, Jesse Spencer and Taylor Kinney series have signed new contracts for a two-year period, namely season 8 and a potential season 9 (the renewal was made taking into account their possible departure) a few hours ago they announced that Jon Seda, Colin Donnell and Norma Kuhling would leave Chicago PD and Chicago Med respectively.

The reason for the decision of the three does not seem to be related to wage negotiations, but to the dissatisfaction with respect to the course of the stories set for the characters played in the new episodes. Despite being retired from the project as regulars / protagonists, the three actors retain the option of returning episodic as a guest star. Both Donnell and Seda confirmed the NBC announcement on Twitter’s personal accounts.

While Colin Donnell has been part of the Chicago Med distribution ever since its release, Norma Kuhling was first introduced to the public at the end of season 2.It is already known that Jon Seda is one of the Chicago Chicago team’s favorite, otherwise the one that opened the way for PD and Justice spin-offs, which is why there is a theory that it is taken into account for a return to a new Dick Wolf project – he is currently working on the two FBI titles from CBS, and one future spin-off Law & Order – Law & Order: Hate Crimes.
