Meryl Streep, Nicole Kidman, and Ariana Grande will be part of Ryf Murphy’s “The Prom” musical for Netflix, according to People magazine. The two stars in The Big Little Lies will again make a team to play the adaptation of “The Prom,” a Broadway musical that has become famous for its LGBTQ messages, according to Deadline.
Streep and Kidman will team up with James Corden and Andrew Rannells, four actors traveling to Indiana to help young Emma, who is banned from attending her high school ball with her boyfriend.
Singer Ariana Grande will perform in The Prom one of the high school girls.
“The Prom” is currently playing on Broadway until August 11th.
Filming is scheduled to begin in December and the launch will take place in late 2020, first in cinemas and then on Netflix.
