At age 56, Michelle Yeoh – the former Crouching Tiger star, Hidden Dragon – does not give up action movies. After a “family” appearance in the successful Crazy Rich Asians comedy and the prominent role in Star Trek: Discovery (2017), Michelle Yeoh was distributed in Gunpowder Milkshake, a thriller of action, writes Deadline.com
The film will be based, according to the filmmakers, on “an original, captivating idea with female heroines, an adventure that is based on a rich mythology and is spread over several generations.” Yeoh will join a cast of Paul Giamatti (Billions), Angela Bassett (Black Panther) and Lena Headey (Game of Thrones) and Karen Gillan (Avengers: Endgame).
Navot Papushado (Big Bad Wolves) will be at the helm of production.
We will see Michelle Yeoh in Avatar’s squalls, but also in a future spin-off Star Trek: Discovery, but still in preliminary discussion.
