Netflix announced on Friday, marking the 42nd anniversary of Elvis Presley’s death, that he has commissioned the animated action series “Agent King”, created by Priscilla Presley and John Eddie.
Authentic Brands Group, Sony Pictures Animation, and Sony Pictures Television are partners for this show.
In the series, Elvis Presley becomes part of a government spy program to support the fight against forces threatening the country, according to the streaming platform.
“Ever since he was a child, Elvis dreamed of being a superhero who fights crime and saves the world. Agent King allows him to do that, “said Priscilla Presley, quoted by Variety. “John Eddie, co-creator, and I are thrilled to be working with Netflix and Sony Animation for this wonderful project and to have the opportunity to show the world an Elvis he has never seen before.”
Presley and Eddie will be executive producers, and Mike Arnold (“Archer”) will be the showrunner, screenwriter and executive producer.
