The Oscars, the most prestigious honors in the film industry, were awarded on Sunday night into Monday in Los Angeles at the Dolby Theatre. The film “Everything Everywhere All at Once”, directed by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, won the prize for the best film, as well as six other Oscar statuettes.
The film, which had 11 nominations, won seven Oscars for Best Picture, Best Actress, Best Director, Best Editing, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, and best original screenplay.

Michelle Yeoh, the protagonist of “Everything Everywhere All at Once”, won the award for best actress in a leading role, and Jamie Lee Curtis won the Oscar for the supporting role in the same film. Also, Ke Huy Quan won the Oscar statuette for best-supporting actor. Actor Brendan Fraser won the statuette in the category of the best actor in a leading role for his role in “The Whale”.
Another prize winner at the Los Angeles gala was the film “All Quiet on the Western Front” by the German Edward Berger. The film about the life spent in the trenches by German soldiers during the First World War won four Oscars on Sunday evening: the award for the best international feature film, the best soundtrack, the best scenography, and the best image.
The films “Avatar: The Way of Water” and “Top Gun: Maverick” was awarded in the “best visual effects” and “best sound” categories, respectively.
