Responsible for the latest title in the Ghostbusters series released in theaters (the 2016 female reboot), director Paul Feig has been extremely pleased with how the second sequel to the franchise is presented.

The trailer for Ghostbusters: Afterlife was released on December 9, and Feig wanted to praise the efforts of director Jason Reitman (the son of Ivan Reitman, who directed the first two films in the series) on his Twitter account: “It looks great. Many, many congratulations to Jason Reitman, the great actors, and the whole team! I can’t wait to see this movie, ”he wrote. “We are all ghost hunters,” he added.

Afterlife will be a direct sequel to the 1984 and 1989 films and will cast Sigourney Weaver as Dana Barrett. The plot centers around a new family and pays tribute to the one who invented the technology of capturing the terrible “ghosts”, Egon Spencer.

His daughter, played by Carrie Coon (Fargo, The Post, Gone Girl), is now a single mother, moving with her children, played by Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things) and Mckenna Grace, in a small provincial town, in the dilapidated house that belonged to Spencer and which conceals many of his inventions. Paul Rudd plays the role of a city teacher who tells children the story of “Ghost Hunters” (practically ignoring the 2016 female reboot).
