Rap singer Janelle Monae, in the second season of the tv series “Homecoming”


The character portrayed by Monae is described as a tenacious woman who drifts to drift in a canoe without remembered how she got there and who she is, writes Variety.

The singer took the lead role in the Amazon series from Julia Roberts, who played in the first season, which was based on the podium.

Julia Roberts remains executive producer of the second season, through her company Red Om Films.

Nominated eight times at the Grammy Awards, Monae began a career in the film in 2016. He also starred in Oscar-winning “Moonlight,” and “Hidden Figures,” three times nominated for the Academy Awards, will lend his voice to the animation “Lady and the Tramp” and appears in the Harriet documentary about Harriet Tubman activist.
