Robert Downey Jr. returns to the role of Iron Man


Robert Downey Jr. returns to the role of Iron Man in the animated series What If ?, revealed Jeff Goldblum – who plays the role of Grand Master in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The actor seems to have just dropped a major spoiler on the upcoming Disney + What If series? So Robert Downey Jr. (and Iron Man) will return to the MCU, writes The Wrap.

In a new interview with Buzzfeed, Goldblum reported that Downey Jr. will be voicing the character of Tony Stark for at least one more episode in the animated series. “I played the role again a few days ago. I went to the Disney studios and recorded the voice of the Grand Master for an episode of the series that will appear on Disney +, called What If? ”, Reports Goldblum. “It’s an animated version for all the characters we know and loves from Marvel, this episode featuring The Great Master, Iron Man, whose voice is given by Robert Downey Jr., Korg, Taika Waititi has already voice recorded. So, yes, for a few hours I had the pleasure of doing something like this … ”

In case you are one of the (maybe) 1% who didn’t see Avengers: Endgame, beware spoilers: Tony Stark died after using Infinity Glove to cancel Thanos’ genocide in Avenger: Infinity War. In What If?, A narrative line is placed in an alternate history, even going so far as to restore some MCU actors from previous films to give voice to the characters. However, these episodes did not become the rule in the MCU. The Disney + animated movie series will focus primarily on stories in alternate universes inspired by the Marvel Cinematic Universe films.
