Three renewals and two cancellations tonight seemed to ABC to be too little, so they said to tilt the balance a little more and enter the comedy portfolio. Unfortunately for the Speechless and Splitting Up Together fans, the station representatives announced their cancellation, the two finishing up after two or three seasons.

The two cancellations are not surprising at all, with Speecheless not having the performance of the past years, this season recording the lowest ratings of the station – the final broadcast on April 12 managed to gather only 3.1 million multi-platform viewers. Splitting Up Together and finalized broadcast on April 9 with 2 × 18 Welcome Home.

Tonight, ABC has canceled the comedy The Kids Are Alright and Drama For The People, The Fix, renewing Grey’s Anatomy, Station 19 and How to Get Away with Murder.

Speechless: Speechless features prominent members of the DiMeo family, presenting the challenges faced by a child with special needs as well as those close to him. What is special about DiMeos is that it is not the case that they create those situations. Everyone with a different personality, under the roof of the family, can meet Maya, a British who knows no limits when it comes to the family and welfare of his children; Jimmy, the nonchalant and indifferent husband of what others think of him; Dylan, the family dynasty who tries to constantly self-indulge in sports; Ray, the typical middle-aged son who often proves to be the most rational of families and JJ, the son suffering from cerebral palsy, disabled in a wheelchair and communicating with the others only through an attached table, But even despite these impediments, the young man is fun and with a special sense of humor.

Splitting Up Together: Based on the Danish format, Splitting Up Together presents the story of a couple whose marriage is rediscovered with their divorce.
