American filmmaker Steven Spielberg writes the script for a horror series that can be viewed on the Quibi streaming platform to be launched in 2020, said Jeffrey Katzenberg, one of its founders, on Sunday.

Katzenberg was on Sunday at the Banff World Media Festival in Canada, where he spoke about the new platform, writes Variety.

“Steven Spielberg came and told us,” I have a very frightening story I want to do. ” He writes it himself. He has not written anything for a long time, so having it is fantastic, “Katzenberg said.

The filmmaker wrote “five or six episodes (which Quibi calls chapters, n.r.) of the 10 or 12 chapter story,” Katzenberg said.

The program is developed under the title “Spielberg’s After Dark”.

The guy had a special requirement: he wants platform users to watch the program just after the evening. Thus, founders Katzenberg and Meg Whitman have asked engineers to come up with an idea in this regard. A clock will appear on the screen and will count down to the sunset. Then he will start showing the time left until the sunrise, and the show will not be available during the day.

Quibi raised $ 1 billion from investors for the April 2020 launch, and more funds are to be received.

Steven Spielberg is still in development with another “Amazing Stories” project for Apple TV Plus.
