Quentin Tarantino’s latest film, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, has not yet entered cinemas – it’s launched on August 16, too – but his next project is already drawing. According to CinemaBlend.com, the filmmaker is preparing a sequel to Django Unchained, which will include Zorro.

The production will be based on Tarantino’s Django adventures in a series of seven comics published by Dynamite Entertainment and DC Comics between 2014 and 2015. In them, Django’s road intersects with that of Don Diego de Vega (Zorro ) the two become friends and act together. The adaptation was entrusted to screenwriter Jerrod Carmichael (The Carmichael Show).

Django Unchained was Tarantino’s first Western film, with Jamie Foxx in the title role. He was highly acclaimed, rewarded with an Oscar for the original screenplay and another statuette for Christoph Waltz’s side role. In addition, it has become the director’s box office’s biggest success ($425 million in global revenue for a $ 100 million budget, according to boxofficemojo.com).
