The cat from the horror movie Pet Sematary will be admired now only in the movie. The news of Leo’s death, known as the Church in the film adaptation of Stephen King’s novel, was given in a message on Instagram on Wednesday night by his adoptive lord.
“With great sadness, we announce that Leo has died. He will remain forever in the memory of his human and furry family. His star will continue to shine with power, “the message says.
According to thewrap.com, the causes of Leo’s sudden death were not revealed by the former trainer, who adopted him after the film ended with John Lithgow and Jason Clarke. The cat belonged to the Main Coon breed – the largest of all cat breeds, but the breeders warn that there is a predisposition for heart disease.
In spite of the fearsome aspect of the poster and film – where a cat was turned from the dead, with the power to raise from the graves and other animals, even humans – Leo’s breed is recognized as a cat of gentle and very playful temper.
However, three more cats were used in Pet Sematary’s filming, but Leo was the one chosen to promote the launching events of the movie.
