The first episode of season 4 of the television series “Riverdale,” to be broadcast on October 9, will pay homage to actor Luke Perry who died on March 4th. The announcement was made on Twitter by the creator of the show when the filming of Betty, Archie, Veronica and Jughead’s new adventures began this summer.
“It is probably the most important episode in” Riverdale “that we will be filming this year, forever, a tribute to our deceased friend, I am grateful for this opportunity to honor Luke and Fred (the character the actor played), wrote Roberto Aguirre Sacasa.
Luke Perry died at the age of 52 at St. Paul’s Hospital. Joseph of Burbank, California, following a stroke.
Perry, better known for the role of Dylan McKay in the series produced by Fox in the 1990s, “Beverly Hills, 90210” has collaborated with “Riverdale” since the debut in 2016. Fred Andrews performed by him is Archie Andrews’s father (KJ Water), the main character in the Archie Comics adaptation. He filmed for a role in Quentin Tarantino’s next film about Charles Manson serial killer “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.”
