Preceded by the release of a series of poster-portraits featuring No Time to Die’s leading characters, the movie’s trailer was released yesterday, in the presence of the lead actors, on the ABC Good Morning America show, and has already been recorded on the channel. Launched five years after Specter, the film marks the latest appearance of Daniel Craig in the role of the famous spy and introduces a new figure in the “spy game” – the new 007 agent, in the performance of color actress Lashana Lynch (Captain Marvel).
“The world has changed, Commander Bond,” he informs her, before forming an alliance with an antagonist whose face is scarred and hidden under a mask of the “Ghost of the Opera” type. Also in the trailer are some familiar figures, such as M (Ralph Fiennes), Q (Ben Whishaw), Moneypenny (Naomie Harris) and agent C.I.A. Felix Leiter (Jeffrey Wright). Christoph Waltz returns as the super-prisoner Ernst Blofeld, now imprisoned. Craig withdraws from the franchise in a big style, and among the spectacular action scenes is heard the classic reply: “Bond, James Bond”.
Even if Lashana Lynch takes the place of Agent 007 in No Time to Die, it is unlikely she will become the new Bond in a future franchise. Producer Barbara Broccoli told The Guardian a year ago: “A bond is a man. The character is male. That’s how it was imagined and it will probably stay that way. ”
