Episodes of the second season were eligible for this year’s Primetime Emmy Awards, for which the series received ten nominations. The third season will be eligible for the 2020 edition.
Based on Canadience’s homonymous novel Margaret Atwood, the series follows a dilapidate society, totally Gilead, located on the territory of what was called the United States.
The cast includes Elizabeth Moss, Joseph Fiennes, Yvonne Strahovski, Alexis Bledel, Madeline Brewer, Ann Dowd, O.T. Fagbenle, Max Minghella and Samira Wiley.
