Disney announced its plan for several movie divisions last Friday. Many productions have been postponed, some of them have been removed from theaters and put on Disney +, but one of the biggest changes was the Jungle Cruise – which was postponed for a full year, until July 30, 2021.

In fact, this is the second major delay for the film. Initially, Jungle Cruise was scheduled for release in October 2019.

Dwayne Johnson explained why the movie suffered such a long delay. “We had a series of extraordinary discussions between ourselves, with Seven Bucks, with Disney management to ensure that Disney theme parks are functional, that Disney Cruise lines are up and running … but most importantly, every viewer has a state of trust, not only here in the United States but also throughout the world. This confidence will allow us to send the children back to school, to return to work. Disney employees, Disney teams to work again and convey the same joy and happiness, “said Dwayne Johnson, quoted by Cinemablend.

Jungle Cruise is inspired by Disney amusement parks, in which a boat transports more explorers through a jungle full of dangerous animals and reptiles, plus a supernatural element.
