Warner Studios announced last week that Matrix 4 will hit theaters on May 21, 2021, the same day it was scheduled to release John Wick 4. As both productions feature Keanu Reeves, his fans have filled the online environment with funny messages of amazement when finding the news; there are numerous messages of appreciation for the famous actor.
Not at all confused by the coincidence, many of the star’s admirers said that they will not choose between the two films at the beginning, but will check them both on May 21, with the intention of marking them thus – in a kind of tribute to the star – ” Keanu Reeves Day ”.
“It really doesn’t bother me that these films have the same release date. I will simply leave one and enter the other, “wrote one of the actor’s admirers on Twitter.
“Fans will leave the movie theater and enter again because Matrix 4 and John Wick 4 will launch the same day,” someone added on Twitter.
The 55-year-old actor’s popularity has reached new heights this year with the release of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum and his portrayal as a character in the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 video game. In various situations, they have conquered the fans, who even initiated a petition to Time magazine on change.org, for naming him the “Man of the Year” (a title that eventually came back to the young environmental activist Greta Thunberg).
It remains to be seen if the two films will remain to share the same release date. One thing is for sure: Reeves’ popularity will remain high even in the coming year’s thanks to the two sequels expected. The star will continue a famous series – the first of his career – through Bill & Ted Face the Music (launching in August 2020).
