‘Snowpiercer’ was to be screened at the world premiere at the Séries Mania Festival in Lille, France, but all major events were canceled due to the pandemic. And now, the American TNT channel has announced another release date.
TNT has decided that the “Snowpiercer” series, featuring Jennifer Connelly and Daveed Diggs, will be broadcast on Sunday, May 17, two weeks earlier than originally scheduled for May 31.
The production is based on the French cartoon “Le Transperceneige”, written by Jacques Lob and illustrated by Jean-Marc Rochette, and the film “Snowpiercer” (2013), directed by Korean Bong Joon Ho (who is also the executive producer of the series). The adaptive rights for the small screen have been purchased since November 2015, but the filming began only in January 2017. However, a year before it was released, the producers also ordered the second season (in which we will see it also (Sean Bean).
