The trailer for the movie “Spider-Man: No Way Home”, starring Tom Holland, Zendaya, and Benedict Cumberbatch, has been officially released, after appearing on social networks on Sunday night.
In the new film, the main character Peter Parker faces the most brutal enemy so far – the past. After about a year of speculation, the trailer confirms the multi-level intrigue of “No Way Home”, in which Spider-Man meets the negative characters from previous franchises, writes Variety.
It’s about Doctor Octopus, played by Alfred Molina, Electro (Jamie Foxx), and Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe). In the latest sequel to “Spider-Man”, Parker’s real identity was revealed in the final moments of the film. Now his life is marked by chaos.
Cumberbatch is Doctor Strange, whom Parker asks for help. Zendaya resumes her role as MJ, Jacob Batalon returns as Ned Leeds, Marisa Tomei – as Aunt May, Benedict Wong – as Wong, and Jon Favreau – as Happy Hogan.
The feature film, the third with Holland in the foreground, is directed by Jon Watts.
“Spider-Man: No Way Home” is scheduled to hit theaters on December 17.
