Elvis Presley, the king of Rock ‘n’ Roll, will reappear in front of the audience in a biographical film announced by filmmaker Baz Luhrmann (The Great Gatsby, Moulin Rouge !, Romeo + Juliet).
According to Deadline.com, five young actors are currently on the lookout for the audience after a series of auditions. It’s about Harry Styles, former One Direction soloist starring in the Dunkirk film, Ansel Elgort (Baby Driver), Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Kick-Ass, Avengers: Age of Ultron and Nowhere Boy – Lennon before being part of The Beatles), Miles Teller (Whiplash, The Fantastic Four) and Austin Butler (The Shannara Chronicles, Arrow).
Production will focus on the star and manager’s career, Colonel Tom Parker, to be played by Tom Hanks. Warner Bros. will announce in the next few weeks who received Elvis’s score. The film script was conceived by Luhrmann and Craig Pearce, with whom he worked on his most successful films.
